Hello December and soon enough, we will usher in the new year! With too many distressing things happening in the year of 2020, here’s a list of hands-on festive workshops that are lighthearted, engaging and great for quality family time!
1. A Baubly Christmas Virtual Crafting Workshop by Marvel Parents
Join Marvel Parents for a virtual session of bauble making, adding more Christmas ornaments to your tree at home after your child completes the workshop with their very own baubles. Suitable for children aged 2 and above, this activity will help enhance your child’s fine motor skills, problem solving skills and stimulate creativity! Parental guidance may be required for this workshop
Each ticket is priced at $15.90, inclusive of a crafting kit packed in a Santa Bag and delivery, and all materials will be provided for you by Marvel Parents.

1. Clay Candy House Workshop by Chalk N Pencils
Chalk N Pencils is a local art studio that specialises in hosting workshops for children and adults with different skill levels, using different mediums in their workshops. For children aged 6 and above, little artists will learn to create figurines with clay, using the tools provided at the studio.
Priced at $68.97, this workshop will last over 3 hours and will channel your child’s creativity whilst creating their very own candy house for the festive season! Your child’s work of art will be an addition to their collection of arts and crafts, adding more colours to your home.

2. SG Felt Creative Handicraft Workshop by Massage On The Go
Massage On The Go is a local massage provider for one the go services at local events and on-call home services. Branching out to other services like curating lifestyle workshops for Singaporeans. SG Felt Creative’s event for this December revolves around sewing and making craft pancakes, that could potentially add to your child’s pretend play kitchen set!
For the workshop, materials will be precut and provided by the organisers, with trainers guiding in throughout the session, with a student-trainer ratio of 1:4. With threads and needles provided, this workshop is catered for children age 8 and above and it will be an engaging experience for 1 hour.

3. Vivokids Camposaur 2020
Vivokids Camposuar is a children camp organised by Vivo Kinetics, comprising sports, team building games, robotics and art and crafts that can steer your child’s creativity and problem-solving skills! Great for children aged 3.5 years old to 12 years old, the day camp will allow them to make friends and have fun at the same time, in a safe environment.
With safety precautions taken in place like the mandatory temperature screening, social distancing, regular sanitisation and having the kids grouped into small groups, parents will be assured that their children are in good hands. Children will segregated based on the following age groups:
Age 3.5 – 5.5 years old
Age 6 – 8 years old
Age 9 – 12 years old

4. Crochet Workshop by Allageentrepreneurs 4
Crocheting is a skill and crafting can create wonders, from a sanitiser to even crocheting your own jacket! At this workshop, attendees can choose to learn which crochet project they would like to create, ranging from a spa gift set to a bunny novelty gift!
Suitable for beginners, this crochet workshop will teach one the different crocheting techniques, great for children aged 10 and above! Acquire the basic knowledge of crocheting and both you and your child will be ready to create more complex projects, adding more colours to your home!

5. Peranakan Tiles Workshop at Peranakan Tiles Gallery
Let your child learn a bit more about the Peranakan culture through this paint workshop! Explore the different mediums of acrylic paint and markers through peranakan art, with Victor Lim, a Peranakan and Tile Collector.
Happening twice weekly, this guided workshop will last for over 2 hours, with materials and refreshments provided. Creating your own peranakan tile will add an artistic touch to your living room, or it could be a self created coaster for your child’s study table!

6. Dessert Candle Making Workshop by NomadicPenguin
Candles are known to enliven an atmosphere, helps to calm nerves, and will give the environment a whole different mood. NomadicPenguin will be hosting a candle making session based on desserts, that allows one to create unique and interesting candles for the home. Create dessert based candles like macarons and mini beers that will not add on any calories, but instead, brighten up your home!

7. Online Baking Session by Allageentrepreneurs
Brought to you by Allageentrepreneurs, they will be hosting an online log cake baking session via Zoom for over 1.5hours! Spend some time baking with your child and let them have a taste of their own work, sharing the love with their family members. Although the materials are not provided by the organisers, there is a comprehensive recommended list of ingredients needed for registrants to prepare beforehand!
Spread the joy through enjoying a homemade log cake on a Friday morning!

8. Pororo’s Walk of Love
Join The Flying Dutchman and Pororo for a walk this December! Sign up for an indoor walk at the Singapore Sports Hub in a safe environment! In this 1km walk, registrants will stand a chance to walk away with an exclusive goodie bag worth $50, consisting of Pororo merchandise and a medal for completion.
With this season of doing good, 10% of all proceeds will be donated to Focus on Family, a local charity that supports families by equipping them with resources and skills on building a strong foundation for a family!

9. Gem Art - Children’s Season Activity
Hosted at The Gem Museum, children will be able to learn about the science behind gemstones and create beautiful gem art through crafting materials, that will be a great addition to your furniture decor at home!
Suitable for children age 7 and above, this workshop will only host 5 children per session and it will help improve their psycho-motor skills as they create and play around.
